Hanlun Institute of Tai Chi Research Limited developed the first Robot in Hong Kong for Tai-Chi Push-Hands exercise. The Robot has a built-in program to guide the user in practicing eight basic Push-Hands movements. Long term exercising with the Robot should lead to better physical balance for the user.
Our research team has continued R&D work to make the Robot smarter; to increase the IQ of the Robot in guiding the user to perfect his Tai-Chi movements. A newly added functionality allows the user to visually observe own movement of “Dan Tian” and the stress distribution of his footprint on a TV screen and matching corresponding records of the Master for the same movement. Using biofeedback techniques, the user gradually attuned his bodily movements to approach that of the Master.
We shall continue to add functionalities to its Robot. The ultimate aim is to make each and every user a Master of the art of Tai-Chi.
